Sunday morning we met up and rented a Ford Fusion. Neither of our cars were in any condition to be "shown off", so we decided to be smart and cruise in comfort. Snacks in hand and music bump'n we hit the road. During the 4 hour drive I grew a bit worried as we didn't see any customized cars heading the same direction as us, "Mike, what if we get to the meet and there are 20 cars?" Well, we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived, as we were greeted with a long line of cars trying to get in. We quickly learned that the meet had already taken more space in the park then what was allotted, sounds like a success to us! We parked the Ford Fusion, and made out rounds. Here some images from the day.
I was greeted by the little (not so little) homie Joey Garcia.
A lot of cars you might normally see in SoCal made the trip. Team BackYard Designz Co. was in the house.
Friendships and passion for cars was the vibe of the day.
This was a treat, I wanted to ask if he rolled down the California Highway like this…
Selfie with the homegirl Desiree, IG stalk her Integra build @_dlove2
Head of security Manny Rios and I. I signed his belly too!
Daniel Martinez's sick coupe…UGH!
Big Mike and the homegirl Bri, hamming for the camera.
They played limbo with the cars, I've never seen it done in person… People were putting some SERIOUS weight into the cars to them low. It was very entertaining, lol
Jimmy was busy all day shaking hands and kissing babies. I'm extremely proud of what he has been able to accomplish. The number of people he was able to bring together, the smiling facing and excitement is something that should not go unrecognized. Well done brother.
The next generation of "AutoLife. It was a totally family friendly gathering.
Some people in the community "think" they need no introduction… THESE are people that need no introduction. Dr. Charles Madrid and Big Mike chatting it up.
Selfie with Bri and I...
More limbo action.
Clearly the goal wasn't to take picture of everything, I managed to not shoot some of my friends cars trying to hide from the heat or running off at the mouth. This is one of the cars I wish I had more shots of… Very nicely done.
Quick group shot before I got dragged in for the "official" one. This is what it is all about, friends with cars, and PASSION not FAME (#passionnotfame).
Don't miss the 3rd gathering, I expect the caliber of cars to only get better and the size to continue to grow. Props Team NVüS!
